Auvik Advertising Guidelines

Dos

  • Be honest. Ads should provide an accurate portrayal of our product and not mislead the audience in any way.
  • Be helpful. Provide practical advice and information that creates value for the audience.
  • Be accurate and reliable. Our customers depend on technical expertise and consistent delivery.
  • Be human. Use friendly, conversational language. We want our audience to know we’re approachable, relatable, and ready to lend a hand.
  • Be respectful. Don’t patronize or make fun of our audiences. Avoid common stereotypes.
  • Also remember the Auvik Way. If it contradicts the Auvik Way, it contradicts our brand.
  • Ask us, if you’re in any doubt as to whether an ad complies with these guidelines, and if we’ve indicated that we need approval before publication, wait for our approval.

Don’ts

  • Don’t submit ads that display shocking content, or that promote hatred, intolerance, discrimination, racism, sexism, bigotry, or violence, or that could otherwise be detrimental to Auvik’s reputation.
    • This includes ads that contain any content that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, harmful to minors, or contains nudity, pornography or sexually explicit materials.
  • Don’t infringe on our or anyone else’s intellectual property, publicity, privacy or other rights; always make sure you have proper permission to publish the content you’re using, whether Auvik’s or any third party’s.
  • Don’t be deceptive or misleading. Content should always be presented in its proper context, and used in a way that’s consistent with the permissions given.
  • Don’t implement computer programming that is intended to damage, interfere with, intercept or expropriate any system, data, or personal information.
    • This means ads must not contain any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots, or other malicious programming.
  • Don’t use software or technology that attempts to intercept, divert or redirect Internet traffic to or from any other website, or that potentially enables the diversion of affiliate commissions from another website.
    • This includes toolbars, browser plug-ins, extensions and add-ons.
  • Don’t create any material relating to Auvik that could be viewed as an ability to act or speak on Auvik’s behalf or as Auvik’s agent, or that makes representations, warranties or guarantees about Auvik or its services, unless expressly authorized in writing by Auvik.
  • Don’t create or implement ads that are non-functional in any way.
    • This includes non-functional landing pages or landing page content that interferes with a person’s ability to navigate away from the page.
    • This also includes imagery that replicates play buttons, notifications, or checkboxes, and ads containing any other features that do not work.
  • Don’t use profanity or bad grammar and punctuation.
  • Don’t imply an Auvik endorsement or partnership of any kind.
  • Don’t misrepresent the Auvik UI. Ads must depict the dashboard as it currently appears and functions in the product. If an action or functionality depicted cannot happen in the current product or within the current UI then it cannot appear to happen in an ad.
